You do what you do best – cook and package food when it is ordered. Generic packaging and low-modifier menus help to control costs, and virtual menus are not associated with your restaurant.

Delivery

Revolution Restaurants provides online-only resturant concepts and we work with local delivery services like Skip the Dishes, Uber Eats, and DoorDash. All menu concepts and delivery services are aggregated on a single tablet.

How it all Started

 

What happens when you mix a marketing guy, an executive chef, and pandemic induced lockdowns? As it turns out, you end up getting an idea that will revolutionize the restaurant industry to allow high end, fine dining, and cuisine specific restaurants to THRIVE, even when they are forced to close their doors to walk-in customers.

A lifelong friend of mine also happens to be an Executive Chef at The Loft in Poulsbo, WA,  and is part of a Restaurant Ownership group that owns a Restaurant, a Brew House, and a fully licensed Sandwich Shop. Each of his locations relies heavily on tourism traffic, which has been non-existent since early 2020 when local and federal governments slammed the door on travel and social gatherings. A few weeks into their first lockdown, it was apparent that they needed to generate some income or risk losing the restaurant. He called me up to brainstorm some marketing ideas and, after several failed iterations of trying to package their current food offerings (we started with curbside pickup, then added cook-at-home “boil in bag” soups and stews for pickup or delivery, and finally tried enticing their current customers by adding frozen drink mixes to applicable food orders, but none of these efforts had a meaningful impact on revenue or sales), it was apparent that they needed something different. We worked the problem from several angles and concluded that they needed to offer food that was high in popularity with the “order for delivery” crowd – so we created a mid-priced burger menu, two “comfort food” menu concepts, and a sandwich menu. These menus were not associated with their restaurant in any way as they did not want to dilute the reputation of their in-restaurant cuisine. Online sales started slow with $200 in the first week, and that grew to $1500 by the 4th week, and now they are clipping along at $3K per week after only 10 weeks.

No More Tablet Hell

One Tablet to rule them all. Your tablet will be used to manage all online orders regardless of how many virtual menus are being served from your restaurant or the number of food delivery services used. Tablets are fully configured by Revolution Restaurants and then delivered to your location, all free of charge. 

Pricing

 

We wanted to develop a pricing system that was focused on keeping restaurants in business because we genuinely believe that restaurants are the foundation that a city’s identity is built on. Our pricing model is designed to reward restaurants for increasing their profitability. Simply put, the more revenue you generate with our menu concepts, the less you pay in fees. There are ZERO up-front costs. There are ZERO equipment costs. And there are ZERO subscription costs. Your restaurant will never receive an invoice from us. Revolution Restaurants pays you for every successfully completed order and only keeps a small percentage of each sale. The more sales you make, the smaller percentage we take as payment:

Combined Online Orders less than $2999 per week = 20% of Gross Sales

Combined Online Sales between $3000 to $4999 per week = 17.5% of Gross Sales

Combined Online Sales over $5000 per week = 15% of Gross Sales

We also take care of paying each delivery company (up to 30%), and then pay your restaurant between 50 – 55% of gross sales at the end of each week. Your restaurant never pays us, we always pay you. A key component of the cost structure is the knowledge that your restaurant’s rent, equipment, overhead, and minimal staffing costs are already being paid for the normal operation of your restaurant, so they are not a factor when calculating cost or profitability for the additional revenue stream provided by partnering with Revolution Restaurants.
